Antique Victorian Oak Deed / Campaign Box By Elkington & Co London – Whytlaw-Gray Glasgow Interest

Antique Victorian oak storage box with brass recessed carry handle and original side locking pin. The box retains its original interior retailer label for Elkington & Co Ltd, 22 Regent Street London, along with a brass ownership plaque engraved “Whytlaw-Gray”. Nicely made with dovetail joints and solid oak construction throughout. Likely originally used as a document chest, campaign box or presentation storage case connected to the Glasgow engineering and shipbuilding firm Whytlaw-Gray. A very decorative and collectible piece with good age and character. Overall in good antique condition with age related marks and wear as shown in the photos. Dimensions: L 50 x D 35 x H 23 cm
