Vintage Burr Walnut Writing Bureau with 3 Drawers

Vintage writing bureau with attractive burr walnut figuring across the front and fall, three full-width drawers and original-style metal handles and keyholes. The sloping front folds down to form a writing surface and opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeonholes and a small central drawer. The drawers are traditionally made with dovetail joints, and the shaped feet and rounded edges give the piece a distinctive period look. There are visible marks, scratches and general signs of previous use, particularly across the fall and writing surface, but it remains a characterful and practical piece of furniture.
