Vintage Mid-Century Modern ceramic wall plaque produced by AWF, Arnold Wiigs Fabrikker of Halden, Norway, dating from the 1950s or 1960s. The plaque features a stylised woman in a layered red and black dress beside a palm tree, moon and waterfront scene, finished in bold turquoise, blue, cream and red tones against a dark background. Marked to the reverse and fitted with a hanging wire. A distinctive Scandinavian decorative piece with strong period character and some age-related wear to the reverse. 17 x 25 cm
